Before dedicating his career to criminal defense, Gary Medlin served for over eight years as an Assistant District Attorney, where he prosecuted individuals charged with criminal offenses. This prosecutorial background now provides him with critical insight into how the other side builds its cases. He understands the strategies, priorities, and pressure points of the prosecution—allowing him to anticipate their moves and prepare stronger, more effective defenses for our clients.

For the past 37 years, Gary has practiced exclusively as a criminal defense attorney in Texas. He is Board Certified in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization—an achievement earned by fewer than 10% of attorneys in the state. This certification reflects his advanced expertise, experience, and commitment to excellence in the field of criminal defense.
